Standard 12-lead ECG

Poly-Spectrum-8/V can record ECG in horses from the standard (I, II, III) and augmented (aVR, aVL, aVF) leads as well as from the horse-specific base-apex and Y leads. The recorded ECG data is displayed on the screen and can be printed out using any printer.

Special ECG Electrodes with 6-meter Cable

Poly-Spectrum-8/V is supplied with the reusable peripheral plate electrodes that feature 2-meter cable. The long cable assures mobility for a patient which makes a recording of ECG in large animals even more convenient. The plate electrodes are easy to apply and guarantee excellent signal quality.

Intelligent Software with Animal-Specific Algorithm

The supplied software ensures automatic QRS detection, calculation of all temporary parameters, and report generation. The specific algorithm adapted to the aspects of ECG in horses is applied here. For more accurate ECG analysis, animal weight should be specified. The software also features particularly created digital filters that ensure excellent noise suppression. ECG measurement and interpretation, as well as exam reports, are saved in a well-organized software database.

ECG Monitoring During Surgery

Poly-Spectrum-8/V can be used as an ECG monitor during surgery. It ensures sound notification for every detected QRS complex and shows the current heart rate in real time. This pocket-sized device can be placed in a bag together with a notebook and powered from it. This means that long-term ECG monitoring system is always at hand no matter where you perform surgery: at your clinic or at the patient’s location.
