Comprehensive cardiac diagnostics: from screening to rehabilitation

Triwix supports a full spectrum of cardiac electrical activity assessments — from resting ECG to exercise stress testing and heart rate variability (HRV) analysis for autonomic nervous system assessment. It can also be used for monitoring during cardiac rehabilitation.

In addition to the standard 12-lead ECG, the device provides a dedicated respiratory channel for recording respiratory rate and rhythm. Optional software modules allow the system to be expanded to meet the specific requirements of clinical practice and research.

Wireless architecture for improved ECG signal quality

Triwix operates without a cable connection to a computer, eliminating artifacts caused by cable movement and allowing greater freedom of movement for the patient during examinations.

The device supports two data transmission interfaces:

  • Bluetooth — range of up to 10 meters;
  • Wi-Fi — range of up to 50 meters.

The choice of interface depends on the clinical setting and the required communication range.

High-precision pacemaker pulse detection

Triwix supports a sampling rate of up to 32,000 Hz, significantly higher than that of most electrocardiographs. This is particularly important when examining patients with implanted pacemakers, as it enables reliable detection of pacing pulses and improves the reliability of diagnostic assessment.

The high sampling rate also makes Triwix particularly well suited for research applications requiring precise ECG signal acquisition.

On-device signal quality indication and control

Triwix displays the impedance of each lead directly on the device, allowing clinicians to assess electrode contact quality directly at the patient’s side.

A control button on the front panel enables the device to be switched on and off and allows ECG recording to be started and stopped.

This simplifies the examination workflow and helps reduce examination time.

Synchronization with external devices: improved accuracy in stress testing

During stress testing, blood pressure measurement is essential for evaluating the hemodynamic response to exercise, detecting abnormal responses, and ensuring patient safety. Measurement accuracy depends on precise timing within the cardiac cycle and may be affected by motion artifacts.

How the Trigger unit works:

  1. The R wave is detected on the ECG.
  2. Triwix wirelessly transmits the trigger signal to the Trigger unit.
  3. The Trigger unit, connected by cable to an external blood pressure monitor, sends a control signal to the device.

This enables synchronization of blood pressure measurement with myocardial contraction, improves the accuracy of Korotkoff sound detection, and reduces the impact of motion artifacts.

The software integrates with medical information systems and supports HL7, DICOM, GDT, and XML formats.

The support of HL7 standard allows integrating all diagnostic Neurosoft systems into the information system of a healthcare facility.
