The conference is arranged by the National Medical and Surgical Center named after N.I. Pirogov in collaboration with Epilepsy Center and the Association of Interdisciplinary Medicine.
The event is focused on the surgical treatment of pharmacoresistant epilepsy.
The main task of epilepsy surgery is the resection of the brain area which is the cause of epilepsy. During the surgery it is important to preserve functionally significant brain areas responsible for movement, sensitivity, vision, speech, etc. Therefore, a vast number of specialized techniques and equipment are used during the epilepsy surgery.
