Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a promising method for diagnosing and treating neurological disorders. Interest in its application in veterinary medicine is steadily growing, despite a number of challenges. The main obstacles include anatomical differences in animals, the lack of specialized equipment, and the frequent need for sedation.
Until recently, no TMS studies had been conducted in animals in Russia. Neurosoft, in collaboration with a Russian veterinary clinic, carried out the country’s first TMS study in dogs. Using our magnetic stimulators, specialists successfully performed both transcranial and peripheral stimulation with motor evoked potential (MEP) recording, as well as evaluated the influence of anesthesia.
Neurosoft equipment is actively used in veterinary medicine — learn more about our solutions for animals on our website.
