We continue to bring you the news on the results of Protecting Brains & Saving Futures project. It started in Brazil in 2016 and now it covers about 30 neonatal units of hospitals in various countries comprised in a medical information network. The project aims to reduce infant mortality in developing countries and provide the youngest patients with high-tech medical care. One of the diagnostic systems used under the project is Neuromonitor produced by Neurosoft.
Protecting Brains & Saving Futures is not supported by a government and grows only due to the enthusiasm of its founders. One of them, Dr. Gabriel Variane, has made a report at the “Clinical neurophysiology and rehabilitation” conference last year where he spoke about the project, the related difficulties and of course achievements.
As many as 8 neonatal units in Brazil and 3 clinics in India were provided with the required equipment within this project in 2020 alone. In the near future, there are plans to equip the Colombian clinics. Russia and China show a keen interest in Protecting Brains & Saving Futures since similar projects of the national level are being considered. We will continue to participate and support this project and projects alike.
