Neuro-IOM is a cutting edge modular platform solution for intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring (IONM). Due to flexible configuration options the system can meet the most exacting needs of both surgeon and advanced neuromonitoring specialist. Its application allows the surgical team to be informed about possible damage of nerve tissues resulting from surgeon actions and thus to prevent neurological deficit.
In most countries it is obligatory to perform IONM during a wide range of surgeries, namely spine, brain cortex or brainstem surgeries. IONM is even used to define the very policy of surgery during, for example, scoliosis surgery.
We continue mastering the most recent technologies, implementing robust hardware and software tools to stand on the forefront of IONM devices. Neuro-IOM (version 2) is our new advanced system authorized for use in the EU.
32 amplifier channels expandable up to 64 channels
The system is equipped with a reliable low-noise universal amplifier to ensure high-quality acquisition. Upon your needs you can equip the system with 16- and 32-channel amplifiers. The number of channels can be expanded up to 64 by connecting additional amplifier unit.
Neuro-IOM can have:
- up to 64 amplifier channels;
- up to 4 separate EMG/EP channels;
- up to 16 electrical stimulator channels;
- low current stimulator channel;
- up to 4 transcranial electrical stimulator (TES) channels;
- photic-, visual- and pattern stimulator channels;
- ES detector channels.
The system is equipped with acquisition and stimulator pods to attach recording and stimulating electrodes with 5 m cables. It allows arranging the system at a distance from the operating table to ensure free movement for the surgical team.
The set of specially-designed electrodes, a PC and the software are included to the delivery set.
Two-in-one: IONM device and 2-channel EMG/EP system
Neuro-IOM can be used as the EMG/EP system in neurophysiologic laboratory. Acquisition channels and all necessary stimulators are built-in. The most complete version with 64 channels has 4 channels for acquisition of EMG and EP. The standard 32-channel version has 2 EMG/EP channels.
When Neuro-IOM is not in the operating room, it can be used as a common EMG system. Not just a EMG system, but the one produced by Neurosoft!
Motor, somatosensory, auditory and visual evoked potentials, EMG, direct nerve stimulation, EEG - more than 10 modalities for intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring
The Neuro-IOM system is delivered with the preset templates ensuring all main modalities:
- direct nerve stimulation;
- free-run EMG;
- somatosensory evoked potentials (SEP);
- motor evoked potentials (MEP);
- auditory evoked potentials (AEP);
- visual evoked potentials (VEP);
- direct cortical stimulation;
- train-of-four stimulation (TOF).
Using these modalities the surgical team can control motor and sensory pathways, monitor peripheral nerve integrity, assess the brain activity and perform mapping of its functional areas, etc.
Transcranial electrical stimulator (up to 1000 V), 8-channel electrical stimulator, low current stimulator, auditory and visual stimulators
Robust stimulators ensure high-quality responses during acquisition of brain evoked potentials and EMG exams.
Transcranial electrical stimulator is intended for stimulation of motor cortex to record motor evoked potentials from muscles. The stimulator ensures single pulse and train stimulation, as well as double train and train + pulse stimulation.
Flexible configurations to ensure any monitoring needs
Neuro-IOM.NET software provides a set of default templates for various types of surgeries. Each template includes settings of modalities for the particular type of surgery, test window layouts, acquisition and stimulation parameters, etc. The system has a vast number of channels and stimulators requiring separate adjustment. Use of preset templates allows simplifying and speeding up system setup for the surgery.
The user always can change and save settings of any surgery template. This is the unique option for such a system! No one IONM system in the world is so flexible!
Handheld surgeon-controlled probe for direct stimulation of nerves and roots
Using the DNS probe the surgeon can stimulate nerves and roots during surgery. Buttons on the probe allow to control stimulus intensity and start or stop stimulation. The system records the response received from the muscle innervated by nerves in the area of potential risk. Due to it the medical specialist can estimate the distance to the nerve and its functioning and change the strategy of the surgery in order to avoid the nerve injury.The support of H7 interface allows integrating all diagnostic Neurosoft systems to information system of clinics.
